Impasse Termite Blocker is part of Al-Flex’s suite of advanced pre-construction treatment systems.
Here’s an overview of the process:
Application: The Al-Flex team installs the Impasse Termite Blocker before the home’s concrete slab is poured. The Impasse Termite Blocker spreads over plumbing, electrical pipes, and conduits, which are then tightly secured with two fasteners 90 degrees apart with less then ¼ inch between them. Concrete is poured directly on top of the Impasse Termite Blocker – providing an exceptional level of termite protection by complementing existing termite pre-construction treatments such as liquid termiticides, baits and borates.
Residual: After a structure is built and the concrete is poured, Impasse Termite Blockers are locked into the foundation, making it virtually impossible for termites to enter the structure near plumbing, electrical pipes and conduits.
After termites enter structures, re-treatment is often necessary. However, Al-Flex’s unique application of the Impasse Termite Blocker, coupled with the product’s longevity of control, reduces the need to re-treat. This is a major benefit our customers, considering the high costs of re-treating structures. For example, re-treating often involves pulling up carpets or drilling into tiles and other flooring materials to inject or pump liquid termiticides into the soil below. For damage within walls, re-treatment often involves cutting through wall surfaces to access and replace interior wood studding. Repairs costs usually range from hundreds to tens of thousands of dollars. For these reasons, Al-Flex is proud to use the Impasse Termite Blocker to provide our customers with an advanced termite control system that diminishes the need to re-treat and provides superior longevity.
